Philip Briggs, PTA General Manager will be attending the Fifteenth CSM Conference and Exhibition on Analysis & Testing of Materials in Beijing, China on 13 - 15 September 2010. The conference proceedings includes events on the monitoring of quality for metallurgy manufacturing and its products. A paper will be presented titled PTA Proficiency Testing for Non-Destructive Testing Laboratories.
Prior to the conference on 12 September PTA will be also represented at the International Committee for Analysis for Iron and Steel Industry (ICASI) general meeting. A PTA report will be presented covering PTA proficiency testing activities including Metal Alloys chemical program, Non-Destructive programs and Hardness and Tensile mechanical programs. The PTA programs for the metal industry are recognized and promoted as ICASI endorsed programs for laboratories in the Asia-Pacific region.
This international liaison is important to ensure the continued technical validity and recognition of PTA programs for the metal industry for both the Australian and international markets.
